WHERE your wilD HOUSES ARE GOING.
THE FIRE
LONGWOOD BUSHFIRES
The Longwood bushfires of January 2026 burned through approximately 136,000 hectares of the Granite to Goulburn region. An estimated 90% of hollow-bearing trees were lost - burnt, fallen, or cleared. The Granite to Goulburn Biodiversity Recovery Alliance is a coalition of local conservation organisations formed in response, working to restore the landscape across the Strathbogie Ranges and surrounds.

THE PROJECT
GLIDEAWAY HABITAT
Wild Houses nest boxes are going into the Glideways project to reconnect isolated glider populations across the fire-affected landscape. Your boxes will support hollow-dependent wildlife, such as squirrel gliders and sugar gliders, which depend on tree hollows that take 200 years to form. The Alliance's goal is to install 1,000 nest boxes across the region in 2026. Wild Houses is contributing to that effort.

THE BOXES
THERMAL HAVEN + THE TREE CO.
Nest boxes will be supplied by Thermal Haven - the first product of its kind to earn NaturePositive+ Certification from Global GreenTag International - and installed by The Tree Company. This is the first deployment using both, and it sets the standard for how Wild Houses boxes will be sourced and installed going forward. GPS coordinates recorded for every box. Built to last and placed where they're needed.

how to fulfil
five steps.
No back and forth. No invoices to chase.
Just this page, in order.
1.
COUNT YOUR PROJECTS.
How many projects did you actually deliver this financial year (1 July 2025 — 30 June 2026)?
If you delivered more projects than your estimate when you pledged - pay for more. If you delivered fewer, pay for fewer. This is your final, reconciled number - and it's what your payment, your badge, and your impact summary are all based on.
Pay only for what you delivered. If your estimate was off, that's fine — this is the reconciliation step.
2.
pay your pledge.
Your pledge is $400 per project delivered. Multiply by your final project count - that's your total.
Step 1 - Enter your amount
Click PAY HERE below. Enter a custom amount: $400 x your total number of projects delivered.
Step 2 - Your details
Enter your name and email. In the Your Message field, write Wild Houses - this is essential so your funds are identified and held separately. From the project dropdown, select Glideways: restoring glider habitat across the region.
Step 3 - Payment
Before confirming, you'll see a line that says "+ $XX Cover platform costs." Click Edit and remove this - you don't need to pay it.
Your tax receipt will be issued by Euroa Arboretum, who auspice the Biodiversity Recovery Alliance. That's who holds DGR status, so the receipt will be in their name - this is correct and your donation is fully tax deductible for FY25-26.
Prefer bank transfer?
No fees, no fuss. Email hello@marniehawson.com.au and we'll send you the details.
3.
tell us your numbers.
Confirm what you delivered this year and pledge again for next year while you're here.
4.
DOWNLOAD YOUR BADGE.
Your Wild Houses partner badge is now yours. Download and add it to your website footer, proposals, email signature, or sustainability reports.
5.
share the news.
The single best thing you can do now is share it. Every time a partner posts, someone new finds Wild Houses. Tiles, captions, and hashtags are ready in the fulfilled partner toolkit.
that’s it.
you’ve closed out the year.
Your numbers are in. Your payment will reach the ground. Your badge is yours. The work moves on from here.
In July we'll publish the FY 25–26 annual report - total boxes funded, sites confirmed, species supported. Everything you'll need for your own reporting.
If you pledged again for FY 26–27, you're already in - and thank you. Every business that commits for another year adds to the volume that makes this meaningful. The built environment shapes more land than almost any other industry. The fact that you're giving something back matters.
Questions, ideas, or wanting to talk volume - get in touch.
Thank you for being part of the first year of Wild Houses. The fact that this works at all is because of partners like yours.
